Zoe Kravitz defends nepotism and the “Nepo Babies”
Tiktok, a popular platform known around the world, has recently been heated by the concept of nepotism in the entertainment industry, often using the term nepo babies. Nepo babies basically define the children of famous celebrities who grew up in the footsteps of publicity, which gave them advantages over other people in the same field.
Zoe Kravitz, one of those nepo babies, defended nepotism in an interview with GQ. Kravitz, who is the daughter of famous musician Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet, mentioned that she had deep insecurities that she didn’t deserve to be in the entertainment industry due to the influence of his popular parents. However, she eased insecurities after landing a role in The Batman
“It’s completely normal for people to be part of the family business. This is literally where surnames come from. You were a blacksmith if your family was, like, the Black family,” the big little lies said the star.
The Batman was released in theaters worldwide on March 4, 2022

We are surrounded by many talented nepotism babies
While there are plenty of celebrities fueled by nepotism who have achieved so much in their respective careers, it wasn’t until May that the internet took notice. The #nepotismbaby hashtag has garnered 10 million views on TikTok and has become a social media staple, with everyone giving their thoughts on it.
However, the fact that some of these people, namely Gwyneth Paltrow, George Clooney, Dakota Johnson, and Zoe Kravitz, make up for the benefits they got from their remarkable play. Such actors surpass their relatives to such an extent that one forgets that they ever belonged to this category.
Every coin has two sides, just like nepotism. If some wisely cultivate the opportunities offered on their plate, there are still some who are in the spotlight for no other reason than a big family name. To give an example, Kendal Jenner and Brooklyn Beckham have been widely criticized as “bad nepo babies”.
Nepotism babies, however, must prove their talent to be taken seriously. Otherwise, it wouldn’t take long for someone to assume that the actor enjoys privilege without any talent of his own.
