Post-Credit Easter Eggs Are Something Marvel Studios Launched With Iron Man and used in every MCU movie since then, making it almost a hallmark of their cinematic universe. These little clips weren’t just meant to give you something more related to the movie, but they were also a glimpse into the future of the MCU, kind of like a connection that made more sense with each sequel movie. It tied all the movies into the epic universal tale the MCU set out to create, all leading up to the end of Avengers: Endgame.
Today, Marvel Studios continues that tradition of hiding crucial information in its end-credits scenes, even if this time they don’t seem to mean anything.
With the recent update that Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Val will be making another appearance in the upcoming Love at first sight movie, fans are asking the most obvious question. Why is she in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
Why are Marvel fans unhappy with Fontaine’s director?
We first saw CIA Director “Val” de Fontaine in the fifth episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. After John Walker is stripped of the title of Captain America, she walks up to him and says, “You did well to take the serum.” His second appearance was in Marvel Studios Black Widow where she appears after the events of End of Game to introduce herself to Natasha Romanoff’s younger adoptive sister, Yelena Belova. She comes there to tell him about Clint Barton and how he left Natasha to die, promising Yelena to help if she lends her skills as a top agent.

And now her recent outing brings her in the middle of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, where it is revealed that she was once married to Everett K. Ross and sued him for betraying the United States and siding with the Wakandans. But even through it all, fans are still unaware of what she will deliver in the grand scheme of things. As it turns out, we’ll be seeing Val again in the next Captain America: New World Order and Love at first sight movies.

His constant appearances with no particular connection to the big picture of the MCU surely irritates fans a bit with the character. Fans took to Twitter to express their displeasure at Val’s seemingly unrelated sightings.
I’m already tired of this character https://t.co/rZSGtx7pTB

To be honest, I really don’t like her character, she’s been in 3 movies and hasn’t done anything yet, what’s her purpose…

What is Val’s purpose?
WARNING! POTENTIAL SPOILERS.
By some educated guesses, many fans believe that Val is trying to pull together a group of remarkable people to see if they can become something more so that when the world needs them, they can fight. Sound familiar? Yes, she’s basically trying to become the next Nick Fury and assemble the next generation of Avengers, which will be assembled in the next Love at first sight film. Although fans think they’re not doing a very good job so far.
