Hugh Jackman made his breakthrough in the film industry with his much-loved role as Logan in x-men (2000). However, like many others, Jackman wasn’t always a popular name in the film industry. Before making his film debut, the actor used to make ends meet by working as a party clown, named Coco the Clown. This news was shared by the actor himself with a throwback photo, dressed as a clown.
But to make matters worse, the now beloved actor wasn’t exactly well equipped with magic tricks. He mentioned that little kids hated them, but he was liked by toddlers.

Hugh Jackman’s stint as a party clown
Hugh Jackman, who was once better known as Coco the Clown, shared his experience with clowning as a way to earn money. Although the actor has a great talent for acting, as evidenced by his movies, magic doesn’t seem to be the Emmy Award-winning actor’s cup of tea.
“I was Coco the clown and I had no magic tricks” he spoke of his experience. “And I remember a 6-year-old standing up at a party saying, ‘Mom, that clown is terrible, he doesn’t know any tricks’ – and he was right.”
While 3- to 4-year-olds weren’t Coco the Clown’s biggest fans, his juggling skills weren’t underestimated by toddlers, as he mentioned to Howard Stern.
Speaking about his last day as a clown, Jackman said:
“The last gig I ever did, a party for an 8-year-old kid. Now it’s hard. I remember the kid saying, ‘Mom! That clown is shit! And I was like, ‘Shut up, kid!’ And I was looking in my bag, and I was juggling an egg sometimes, and I was breaking it in my hand. And I just pulled out three eggs, and they broke. And it ended with the kids having the eggs , throwing them at me. And it worked! They loved it. And piling and beating the shit out of me. Jumping on me. It was pathetic, but they were happy. I was looking at my watch, like ‘!0 minutes to go. ‘ And that was it. I never went back there again.
