Acclaimed American filmmaker Quentin Tarantino recently revealed his desire to retire from Hollywood after nearly 30 long years working in the film industry as he confirmed his departure after his next film. Although the pulp Fiction director doesn’t have a full plan when it comes to his next project, it seems certain it will be his last.
In his last interview with CNNthe author of Cinema Speculation explained why he planned to quit the art of creating and directing films as he talked about making one last masterpiece before leaving for good.

Quentin Tarantino talks about his retirement from cinema
Quentin Tarantino made his film industry debut in the early 1990s with the crime/drama film, reservoir dogs which he not only directed but also performed. Since then he has helmed some of Hollywood’s most successful films like inglorious bastards (2009), Django Unchained (2012), and two volumes of the action/police film Kill Billto name a few.
But after directing nine standalone films some of which have served as screenwriter, the Oscar-winning director is considering parting ways with Hollywood after his tenth film, as he admitted in his interview with CNNit’s Chris Wallace. The 59-year-old explained that he did not want to become “out of reach” with the film culture currently thriving, which is why he is considering retirement.

“I’ve been doing it for a long time; I’ve been doing it for 30 years. And it’s time to wrap up the show. Like I said, I’m an artist. I want to leave you wanting more, you know. And I don’t want to work at diminishing returns. I don’t want to become this old man who’s disconnected when I already feel a bit like an old man who’s disconnected when it comes to current movies that are coming out right now, and that’s what’s happening. This is exactly what is happening.
Having directed some of the most popular films of all time, Tarantino’s tenth film, although unknown at this time by the filmmaker himself, is sure to be one of a kind considering that it will be also his last.
What will be Quentin Tarantino’s last movie in Hollywood?
It seems that the Proof of death the actor himself doesn’t have an elaborate plan regarding his latest project before finally taking his leave of it all. When asked if he had any potential ideas for his next movie, Tarantino said no, saying he’s in no rush to get it over with either.
“No, I’m not doing it at all because I’m not in a great rush to make my last movie either.”
The Jackie Brown director went on to say that he does not “even knowing what a movie is” right now given that people are currently interested in streaming Netflix and Amazon Prime while he’s more used to the authentic way as he remarked how his “the latest movie opened in 3,000 theaters,” pointing to the drama/comedy of 2019 Once upon a time… in Hollywood with Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt.
So, there is no information on the subject of Tarantino’s latest film. However, looking at his past projects, all of his films have been unique in their own way, with some of the most captivating themes and a particularly intriguing aesthetic being portrayed in his works. And knowing Tarantino, he’d rather hang out with a band than leave a bland impact on his audience. So it’s safe to say that his tenth film could very well become a cinematic masterpiece.
