Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was released earlier this year and all of the fan and critic reviews that have come in have been mostly positive, marking a bright future for the kingdom of Wakanda. Following Black Panther again stars the talented Letitia Wright, but as the film’s main protagonist this time around.
One of the major absentees from the arrival of Ryan Coogler’s 2018 film sequel is the late actor Chadwick Boseman, whom Marvel fans and his family lost in 2020. But his legacy lives on in the sequel, even the actors paying tribute to the T ‘Challa actor at the film’s premiere. Letitia Wright, however, has special words for her former co-star.

Chadwick Boseman considered Letitia Wright to be his sister
Hollywood’s most famous and best friendships were born between actors who starred in the same movies, meeting Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds on the set of X–Men Origins: Wolverine being the brightest example.
Much like Reynolds and Jackman, Letitia Wright and Chadwick Boseman became best friends after starring together in Ryan Coogler’s masterpiece, Black Panther in 2018. Some fans even argued that the two actors had a similar relationship to their on-screen counterparts, as brother and sister (and even made compilations about it!).

However, the T’Challa actor was unable to join the rest of the cast, let alone Wright, in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, having died in 2020 at the age of 43. But it was confirmed by Wright herself that he did indeed consider her to be his real sister, although she didn’t have one.
While speaking to The Guardian in an interview, the 29-year-old actor confirmed that the on-screen relationship she had with Boseman translates into a similar relationship in real life when the cameras aren’t rolling-
“Yes! He doesn’t have any sisters, but he always said if he had to have one it would be me because I just connected with him and it was as God intended.
It was quite a run with Chadwick Boseman as the MCU’s Black Panther, and his legacy is still cherished by fans even today.

Letitia Wright was angered by the unexpected passing of Chadwick Boseman
Just two years after the release of Black Panthereveryone was still pretty optimistic that Chadwick Boseman could be one of the most important actors in the MCU, much like Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man.
Then August 28th arrived in 2020, and the entire MCU fan base was surprised after it was announced that the 42 star had died after a 4-year battle with colon cancer.

One of the angst, saddest and most confused people upon hearing the news of his death was Letitia Wright, who learned the news of her co-star and brother friend’s unexpected death through a message of condolence.
In the same interview with The Guardian, the Aisha star explains how she felt upon hearing the unfortunate news-
“I was at home in my flat in east London. I was alone. I just woke up and saw an email with my condolences, and I thought, ‘My condolences for what? ‘ Then I clicked on that email and kept seeing Chadwick Boseman, Chadwick Boseman, Chadwick Boseman. I was like, ‘What’s going on?’ I clicked on one, and it was the PR team saying, “Do you want to write a statement? Statement? What’s going on?”
“I was hitting my apartment, I was screaming. I was so angry. I was like, ‘Bro, Daniel, that’s not happening’, but his silence spoke so loudly. And he just came immediately from where he was to comfort me.
Two years later, Letitia Wright would pay tribute to the late actor at the premiere of wakanda forever in the most memorably possible way – wearing the same black Alexander McQueen suit that Boseman wore to the 2018 premiere of Black Panther. It was a fitting tribute to a co-star who considered her his real sister.
