With the release of Black Panther: Wakanda ForeverThe Cinematic Universe recently completed Phase 4 and entered Phase 5. Rumor has it he’s an evil Superman and Ryan Gosling is pushing to play him.
Ryan Gosling is rumored to be considered by Marvel Studios for a key villain role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The part calls a leading man between 30 and 50 years old, who will be described as “a troubled and powerful villain” and comparable to an “evil Superman”. According to insiders, Marvel is looking to cast Ryan Gosling or Alexander Skarsgard as the Thunderbolts in 2024. All evidence points to the character being Sentry, a fearsome Marvel superhero.

If he turns out to be the main antagonist of Thunderbolts. The cast of ex-villains and anti-heroes will see their team take on one of the MCU’s most fearsome antagonists. Outside of power hitters like Ghost, the majority of Thunderbolts have street-level skills, so taking on such a powerful foe will add a whole new level of tension to the film.

Ryan Gosling has continued to add to his long list of top notch skills in the entertainment business. He became Hollywood buzz in 2015’s Oscar-winning La La Land. Fans recently wondered if he’d get his own shot in the vast Marvel Universe after collaborating with the Russo Brothers on The Gray Man, which starred also starring MCU veteran Chris Evans.
In fact, Gosling discussed the possibility of playing a Marvel character, remarking how “awesome” it would be to play any type of role in the ever-expanding multiverse saga.
