New rumors about the famous actor of NotebookRyan Gosling joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the start of Phase 5 has started surfacing all over social media, and fans all seem excited about this potential addition.
According to the sources, the Canadian actor could appear in the next Marvel movie, Love at first sight, and kicks off his debut as the MCU supervillain, The Sentry. While those rumors have yet to be confirmed, Ryan Gosling showed a pretty keen interest in being a part of the MCU earlier this year in an interview, so you never know!

Rumor has it that Ryan Gosling will play The Sentry in Love at first sight
Popular industry insider Daniel Richtman recently revealed that Marvel Studios plans to hand Ryan Gosling the role of The Sentry and cast him as a supervillain in Jake Schreier. Love at first sight.
Robert Reynolds’ character, aka The Sentry, is one of the most fearsome with him carrying “the power of a thousand exploding suns” after being injected with a mysterious serum containing a secret formula when he was a high school student. His dangerous and superhuman powers are said to be a source of immense threat to all those around him.

While rumors of Gosling playing the character of Robert Reynolds are fairly nebulous, the the earth star previously expressed his desire to be a part of the MCU, saying it would be a “cool” thing to happen.
The 42-year-old recently starred in the action/thriller film, The gray man which was released earlier this year in July and is directed by the Russo Brothers, who also helmed the 2019 MCU blockbuster, Avengers: Endgame. So it’s not entirely impossible for Gosling to enter the realm of the superhero franchise.
Marvel fans are thrilled with Sentry’s role in Love at first sight
The Marvel fandom seems particularly fond of the idea of Sentry being the main villain of Love at first sight that the rumor about the Blade Runner 2049 star putting himself in the place of the character in the film broadcast on the Internet.
Meanwhile, fans are absolutely thrilled to see Sentinel Gosling in his incredible golden costume and with his unparalleled powers appear in Love at first sight against Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, David Harbour’s Red Guardian and Harrison Ford’s Thunderbolt Ross.

Given the breadth of Sentry’s powers and unrivaled abilities, fans are curious to see how the Thunderbolts team will survive him if his character is introduced in the film. And most viewers are even counting on the loaded action that will likely follow if Gosling takes over as Sentry.

Sentry is also popularly considered Marvel’s version of a “Evil Superman”. So, it would definitely be interesting to see Gosling’s portrayal of the MCU supervillain. However, more information about it has yet to be released.
Love at first sight is set to release on July 26, 2024.
