The HBO Max series Dune: brotherhood is filming.
Dune: brotherhood Director Johan Renck has revealed that production on the highly anticipated HBO Max series is officially underway. The show’s production is based at Origo Studios in Budapest, Hungary, a location that was also used for next year. Dune: part two. Check out Renck’s Instagram post announcing the news below.
Interestingly, Renck tagged Gizem Kling Erdogan and Mark Strong on his Instagram post, stating that the two have joined the cast of Dune: brotherhood. The series also stars Emily Watson, Shirley Henderson, Indira Varma, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Faoileann Cunningham, Aoife Hinds, Chloe Lea and Travis Fimmel.
Diane Ademu-John is credited as creator, writer, co-host and executive producer of Dune: brotherhood while Alison Schapker is co-showrunner and executive producer of the HBO Max project. Renck directs the first two episodes of the series.
Denis Villeneuve, Jon Spaihts, Scott Z. Burns, Matthew King, John Cameron, Cait Collins and Brian Herbert are the executive producers of Dune: brotherhood. Byron Merritt and Kim Herbert are also on board as executive producers, overseeing the Frank Herbert Estate project. Author Kevin J. Anderson serves as co-producer.
The Sisterhood takes place 10,000 years before the events of Dunes and explores the origins of the Bene Gesserit. A joint venture between Warner Bros. and Legendary, Dunes is based on the 1965 novel of the same name by Frank Herbert. The film hit theaters in October 2018 and earned $401.8 million at the worldwide box office, as well as six Oscars at the 94th Academy Awards.
The official Dune: part two The synopsis reads: “This follow-up film will explore the mythical journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen on a journey of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. . Faced with a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he strives to prevent a terrible future that only he can foresee.
The Dunes The sequel’s cast includes Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Charlotte Rampling, Javier Bardem, Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Christopher Walken, Léa Seydoux and Souheila Yacoub.
