Daniel Craig is best known for his role as British MI-6 agent James Bond in various films like Casino Royale, Skyfall, and, No time to die. The actor also starred in a 2011 sci-fi/action movie titled Cowboys and aliens. The film follows Jake Lonergan (Daniel Craig) waking up in a desert with no memory of his past. The protagonist becomes the villagers’ only hero when the aliens attack.

Suffice it to say, the movie didn’t gain much traction in box office records. Receiving only a 6/10 on IMDB and a minimum of 44% on Rotten Tomatoes, the film was considered an overall flop. As reported by Deadline, Daniel Craig spoke about the failure of Cowboys and Aliens and how he was afraid to continue with the Knives out frankness because of it.
“When we were filming, we were fantasizing about it, like you: ‘It would be pretty good to do another one’. But who knows? You don’t want to make predictions about the success of the film. We went there, we We did it and we failed many times, but the fact that people loved Knives Out so much and it was such a hit made us think, let’s see what happens.
The “number of occasions” line is a reference to the film flop Cowboys and Aliens which featured many notable actors such as Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, and Olivia Wilde. It turned out to be wrong since Knives out was covered by the people with praise and love.

With an Agatha Christie-esque twist to its story, Knives out became an instant blockbuster for the people. The film followed a star-studded cast of Daniel Craig, Chris Evans and Ana de Armas with director Rian Johnson (of Star Wars: The Last Jedi celebrity).
The film released its sequel Glass onion: a mystery at loggerheads was hugely successful like its predecessor. The film debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 10, 2022, followed by a week-long limited theatrical release on November 23.
