The story is set in the Elven world 1200 years before the world of “The Witcher”, Blood Origin tells a story lost to time and the beginning of the very First Witcher and tell about the events that led to the conjunction of the spheres, when the world of monsters, men, and elves merge to become one.
According to Elvin lore, humans arrived during the conjunction their own world having been destroyed, these human ancestors learn how to harness the power of primordial chaos and thus the first human wizards were born looking for a place in the world. Humans took up arms against the elder race who were unable to withstand the barbarians and ultimately surrendered, this is how humans came to rule the world. So it seems that the story is probably going to be about the elder race the Elves.
So we will get to see what the elven civilization was like before the humans came to the continent and we will see the downfall of the elves. we will also get to see how the first witcher was created. There’s a lot of mystery behind this. We will also get to see why this cataclysm happened, was it because of the elves, or was it just destiny.
The Witcher Blood Origin Cast
Along with Laurence O’Fuarain, Sophia Brown, and Michelle Yeoh, more than 10 new cast members will join them. Here are the characters play by the new cast members:
Mirren Mack is a Scottish actress, known for her role as Kaya on the BBC drama The Nest and also appear in Sex Education as Florence play the character of Merwyn; Lenny Henry is a British actor, will play the character of Balor; Jacob Collins will play Eredin; Lizzie Annis will play Zacaré; Huw Novelli will play Callan “Brother Death;” Francesca Mills will play Meldof; Amy Murray will play Fenrik; Nathaniel Curtis will play Brían; Zach Wyatt will play Syndril, and Dylan Moran will play Uthrok One-Nut.
Declan De Barra is the creator and the showrunner on “The Witcher Blood Origin”. Along with Declan De Barra, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich also handled the responsibility of the executive producer. The Witcher Blood Origin has been directed by Sarah O’Gorman and Vicky Jewson. It has also been confirmed that Andre Saposky who wrote the books will be a creative consultant for ‘The Witcher Blood Origin’.
