A New Variant Of COVID called ‘Mu’ Is Being Studied Closely

According to the new study, after the delta variant birth from COVID variants, some other variants are also observed by lead researchers and scientists, as of now another variant called ‘Mu’ coronavirus is observed.

Researchers say that this is the new variant of coronavirus which might evade the antibodies which are already existed in people who are vaccinated and strong immunized people. This is very closely watched by the health officials of the United States.

After the devastation led by the Delta variant of this virus, the experts do not want to take any chance. They believe that advanced study of this virus will be useful in reducing its crucial effects that can damage the immune and nervous system of the victim. The effects of vaccines can also be checked meanwhile.

Researchers stated that “this variant had taken an extensive hold across the United States on this point”. Whereas, the national institute of allergy in the United States is taking this new finding of variants very seriously.

According to Dr. Anthony Fauci, the lead researcher and author of this study state that “the process of observation of new variant is under observation with various lab technicians and health experts”.

He added that “we are trying to have a close eye towards this variant transmission”. This variant can be even very close to being dominant because the previous variant named delta variant is found with 99 percent of dominant.

On this note, he stated that the variant name ‘Mu’ is now technically named ‘B.1.621’ due to its mutations on other people and transmissions. “This will be the specific evade on antibodies,” said him.

Researchers suggest that a lot more clinical trials should be done quickly to stop the dangerous edition of the pandemic as this is the most important element for laboratory findings based on the given vitro data.

Fauci had explained that “we can’t consider the immediate responses of the laboratory tests ad results”.

Some of the researchers in a recent news interview reported that “during this week from the orders of WHO (World Health Organisation), Mu variant is designated as the ‘variant of interest’ because many pieces of research had determined that this will evade the pre-existed antibodies in a person.

Researchers say that “the variant Mu is first observed and detected in Colombia in this year of January”.

According to this study, the variant named Mu had been responsible for the third wave of COVID-19 pandemic right now in this world as the second wave had shown tragic effect from April to June months in this year.

According to the health officials of Colombia, a researcher named Marcela Mercado stated in a local radio station that “700 deaths were minimum in a day during the second wave” and two-third of people who were died positively resulted from the Mu variant.

CBS News had reported that “from the past weeks, the country has seen 14,000 newer cases of COVID-19 with a new variant and 530 deaths already”.

Researchers at an interview stated that there are people less than 30 percent across the country with full vaccination.

On this note, based on the global prevalence the Mu variants are sequences as the declined cases with a current percent of 0.1 where some other countries are having 40 percent of prevalence which had increased consistently.

Some of the larger outbreaks were found by the Mu variants which are reported across South America. 14,000 newer cases were reported with 530 deaths and the vaccination rate is very low with 30 percent said, health officials.
