Now the seven-day average covid 19 cases in the country are approximately 800,000. Keeping in mind the current status of the active cases, the vaccination is increasing at a very low pace and the medical agencies and US federal government is trying to increase the rate of vaccination.

Many medical researchers and officials are blaming the mutants available in the omicron variant for rising cases in the USA. The cases will further increase to 2 million per day in some days and by the end of the winter season, the omicron strain will be able to infect around 140 million American population.

According to the updates from the World Health Organization early this morning, there are high cases of the omicron variant amongst elderly people, and especially those who are unvaccinated are at high risk of losing a life.

The latest studies indicate that the current covid 19 case tally has crossed the previous winter’s mark and has broken its own record. These types of records are not appreciable, stated by some medical scholars in the country.

Along with the rising cases, the US CDC has also announced that there are long queues even in the hospitals for admissions and in some parts of the country the beds are already occupied and there is an acute shortage of both medical supplies and healthcare staff due to the rising covid 19 cases.

The staffing issues in the hospitals have been a major reason for the increasing hospitalization rate. The level of treatment the infected patients demand is not provided by the hospital authorities.

On the Other hand, the Federal government has already appointed army and police officials to help the available healthcare staff with the basic hospital works like carrying the patients to the wards, maintaining medical supplies, and much more.

As per the data available with the Department of Health and Human Services, on Sunday the total number of hospitalized people in the US was above 144,000.

It has been argued that even if the omicron strain is not severe and carries fewer symptoms, there are high chances of hospitalization and death if an individual is not vaccinated.

On the other hand, two-dose vaccination does not offer complete protection but reduces the severity level, and adding an extra dose of the booster shots will provide you with complete protection and even reduce the chances of hospitalization and deaths by 90 percent.

The vaccination must be done as soon as possible as it will be very helpful in saving your lives.
