According to a database maintained by the New York Times, more than seven hundred thousand illnesses are recorded every day in the United States. By the end of this month, according to modeling scenarios outlined in an internal government paper published by The New York Times on a particular day, there will be more than a million daily confirmed illnesses.

Despite this, the practice continues to be practiced across the country. According to a union spokesperson in New Jersey, despite worries that she had contracted Covid-19, a nurse was recently instructed to come to work.

State-run nursing homes and hospitals in Rhode Island recently used staff who tested positive after the state changed its criteria to comply with the CDC. The Missouri hospital allows nurses to return to work if they are symptom-free after five days. There have been reports of health care professionals being called into work even if they are contagious.

The CDC advises health professionals to notify patients if an infected worker spends more than 15 minutes with them at a distance less than six feet, but does not mandate them to do so. Many health professionals believe that transmission can take place in less time and over a shorter distance. Some employees expressed their dissatisfaction, claiming that their efforts were being underestimated because they were not paid much during the pandemic.

Temporary nurses may not know how to operate medical equipment and lack the knowledge to troubleshoot when there is a problem, according to complaints. Even if they have prior knowledge, getting to know the intricacies of their hospital’s operating routine takes time.

Temporary employees at certain hospitals have been unable to replace full-time employees due to a lack of experience and ability. As the lockdown was removed and children returned to school, cases among youngsters began to rise, necessitating the services of physicians.

Around three hundred youngsters under the age of nineteen were admitted, with the number continually increasing. The New York State Nurses Association has urged that the administrators acquire more full-time personnel to address the workforce needs due to growing staff shortages.
