President Biden acknowledges the loss of the children and students due to the lockdown and school closures. Owing to which Biden and Harris’s administration are now coming forward to encourage vaccination and limit the spread of the new variant of covid 19 infection. As a safety measure, the White House administration is increasing access to Covid 19 testing kits. The easy accessibility of the Covid testing kit will enable one to diagnose early and encourage optimum safety.
The Biden administration has promised half a billion testing kits for free for the entire population.
According to the latest development in the testing, the White House administration plans to make around 10 million per month Covid testing kits available for the schools across the US. The additional test will maximize the safety of the school and fellow students so that the cases amongst the children can be reduced and it will help in reducing the loss of studies for the kids. The administration recently gave a statement emphasizing their next plan of action.
The statement mentioned the need to keep school and staff safe by ensuring thorough vaccinations, boosters, increasing Covid testing, and improving in-premise ventilation.
Since the last few months, the Biden-Harris administration has taken various steps to provide adequate resources to education institutes and schools across the country. The administration has recently provided a relief fund of $130 billion for elementary and secondary school emergency funds to safeguard the schools and allow the children to study effectively. The objective of this funding is to support schools to safely reopen themselves and address various needs of the students.
The free testing kit for schools is in accordance with the latest guidelines laid by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Also, as per the news, the CDC will also start pool testing in schools across the US. The central government and state administration also plans to deliver the additional test kits through the Department of Health and Human Services.
Moreover, the government is also looking forward to introducing new training resources, materials, and literature to give adequate information about implementing tests in schools.
