Melissa Gilbert explained that the fame she got after the series “Our Little Farm” is a beautiful pressure for her to improve her looks. That fame is the actual force that leads her to do cosmetic surgeries. In an interview with First For Women magazine, Melissa explained about the surgeries on her body, “ I went down the road that everyone else does- nose job, boob job, fillers, and Botox, but no more!”
Melissa Gilbert questioned the mentality of Hollywood as they did not allow the women to age or gain weight or simply be themselves. Hollywood is indirectly pressurizing every actress to remain young and stay against aging. These thoughts lead most of the people into surgeries which later destroy their entire body. Now Melissa’s attitude towards plastic surgery has changed as she accepts the natural aging process. Without following any cosmetic treatment, currently, she feels her body is free from any sort of artificiality.
“Our Little Farm” actress also explained about her breast implants, “ I had my breast implants removed and I’m no longer doing filler or Botox because I’m a 53- year- old woman, and I’m trying to embrace this process of aging.” Instead of blaming the aging process, the “Laura Ingalls” actress is very satisfied with her body. She said that she is very grateful to her body for holding up through a few health issues and severe injuries. She added, “Right now I’m physically pain-free and relatively healthy and strong.”
Melissa Gilbert shared her viewpoint of plastic surgery in an interview with Megyn Kelly. She recalls her memories as a child actress who is unaware of the cosmetic surgeries and who enjoys life peacefully.
