But the legendary singer and songwriter, Dolly Parton has a very different view on being a nominee of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and it is that she doesn’t feel that she has earned that right.
Dolly Parton shared a post on her official social media accounts where she gave her opinion about her name in the nominees. She started the post by saying how grateful and flattered she is to be nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Then she added, “I don’t feel that I have earned that right. I really do not want votes to be split because of me, so I respectfully bow out”. Continuing her note, she has written that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will understand her opinion and hope that they will consider her again if she’s worthy.
Parton has also shared that this nomination has inspired her to make a rock and roll album in the coming future. She also said that her husband is a huge fan of rock and roll and has always encouraged her to do a rock and roll album. She also added her well-wishers to the other nominees in the post.

Another commented, “you deserve everything”. Some of them have even commented that we should change earth’s name into Dolly Parton’s earth.
The Rock and Roll Hall Of Hame nominations was announced in February 2022 and apart from Dolly Parton, the nominations have many other legendary musicians and brands including Eminem, Lionel Richie, MC5, Kate Bush, and Beck.
Over 50 studio albums that Dolly Parton has recorded throughout her career, 12 of them are the selected ones for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and this also includes Dolly Parton’s famous songs I Will Always Love You, Here You Come Again, Little Sparrow, and The Grass Is Blue.
