Former President Donald Trump seemed to walk out of a pre-taped interview in a rage, shouting “turn the camera off,” as his one-time pal Piers Morgan probed him on his 2020 election falsehoods, according to a promotional film published Wednesday afternoon.
Trump Blasted Morgan, Calling Him A “Fool”
However, hours after the video was released, Trump’s spokeswoman supplied an audiotape to NBC News that appeared to undercut his claim that he furiously walked out of the interview.
In an interview, planned to debut on April 25, on his new Fox Nation and Talk TV show Piers Morgan Uncensored, the first-ever Celebrity Apprentice winner, grilled the twice-impeached ex-president on his false claims that he only lost the 2020 presidential election due to rampant voter fraud.
In the teaser tape published on Wednesday, Trump blasted Morgan, calling him a “fool” and claiming that he was “more honest” than the British tabloid veteran.
Furthermore, when Morgan assured him that the 2020 election would be “free and fair,” the disgraced former president said, “Only a fool would think that.” After more than a year, Morgan highlighted that the former president and his followers “haven’t presented the hard proof” to back up their wild electoral claims, only for Trump to throw some more choice insults his way.
“I don’t think you’re genuine,” a sweating Trump said before telling Morgan he was “very dishonest.” At the end of the brief video, Trump is seen walking away after yelling, “Turn off the camera!”
“Very dishonest,” he said again as he shambled away.
However, according to the tape supplied to NBC by Trump spokeswoman Taylor Budowich, the two men laughed together at the end of the interview, with no evidence that he rushed off.
“That was a terrific interview,” Morgan says at the end of the recording, and Trump agrees.
“We have nothing to say beyond what is public (i.e. the video footage and Piers’ piece in the New York Post),” a News Corp representative told NBC News.
“This is a pitiful attempt to exploit President Trump to resurrect the career of a failing television show,” Budowich said to NBC News. “It’s also another example of President Trump being correct since he informed Piers Morgan that the presenter was dishonest to his face, and Piers didn’t disappoint for the first time in his life.”
On Wednesday, Morgan hinted more about his spat with the former president in a story for the New York Post. Specifically, he said that Trump chastised Morgan for believing that Trump’s conduct on Jan.
The Capitol insurgency occurred as a result of Act No. 6.
“Then you’re a knucklehead!” “And you haven’t studied,” shouted the former president.
On the other hand, Morgan said that by bringing up Trump’s recent hole-in-one, he was able to deter Trump from storming out of the interview.
Morgan alleged that when Trump was allowed to brag about his golf feat, Trump gave him a “hateful” look before ordering that the cameras be turned off.
Trump has shown no indications of relenting on his election fraud charges, alleging in rallies around the country that the election was ‘rigged’ and ‘stolen’ as he seeks support for himself and the 103 candidates he has sponsored for Senate, House, and state governorships thus far.
Trump withdrew his support for Alabama Republican Rep. Mo Brooks for the Senate position after the Republican advised the country to move on from the 2020 election.

‘Mo Brooks of Alabama made a terrible mistake recently when he went ‘woke,’ alluding to the 2020 Presidential Election Scam; he said, ‘Put that behind you, put that behind you,’ despite the fact that the election was plagued with fraud and anomalies,’ Trump remarked. Trump claimed Brooks squandered a ’44-point lead’ after hiring new campaign workers who ‘brilliantly’ advised him to ‘stop talking about the 2020 race.’
