Aaron Taylor-Johnson is set for his debut in Sony’s Spider-Man universe as Kraven the Hunter. While there is still time for Kraven the hunter to release, he is busy promoting his next venture High-speed train. During one of those interviews, he talked about his role as Kraven the Hunter and also shed some light on a possible showdown between Spider-Man and Kraven. Although Aaron Taylor-Johnson has hinted at a potential confrontation with the web-slinger, it seems fans aren’t happy with it. According to fans, Venom also promised them the same but did not deliver.

Clash between Kraven and Spider-Man:
A few months ago, Aaron Taylor-Johnson said something about Kraven the hunter which made the buzz among the fans. He said Kraven is an “animal lover”. The fandom went crazy over this statement as they couldn’t understand how someone who has Hunter in their name can also be an animal lover, to which the actor further responded:
“He’s a character that was built ages ago and it’s in a new era, but yeah, is he going to be the hunter we all want to see? Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely.”

According to Avengers: Age of Ultron actor, he didn’t mean what he said and everyone took it the wrong way. Recently, while speaking to Variety, he was faced with the most obvious question posed to anyone in Sony’s Spider-Man universe, whether we can expect a showdown or not, which he said. answered :
“That’s a really interesting question. In the comics, there have been a lot of comics that have this, so the possibilities are definitely there. Kraven is a really interesting character, man.
Like all the other actors, Taylor-Johnson also left everything on an ambiguous note, but it doesn’t look like the Wall-Crawler will be seen in the movie. This film is primarily meant to introduce the character to the universe and will focus on his origin story.
Fans don’t have a lot of expectations:
A month ago, during an interview with Variety, Aaron Taylor-Johnson described Kraven the hunter as a notorious anti-hero and one of Marvel’s most iconic Spider-Man villains:
“one of Marvel’s most iconic and notorious anti-heroes – Spider-Man’s number one rival.”
During this interview alone, he created controversy around Kraven being an animal lover. Now, despite dispelling all doubts and encouraging fans by hinting at a showdown with Spider-Man, fans are still not convinced.

It is a remarkable fact that the last film Morbius under the umbrella of Sony’s Spider-Man universe turned out to be a disaster. Both critics and audiences trashed Jared Leto’s stardom. The film that preceded it Venom: Let There Be Carnage although an incredible box office performance earned fairly average reviews. Now fans have pointed out another fact that even Tom Hardy promoted Venom the same way, but still today we miss an epic showdown.

Even though Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock was spotted in Spider-Man: No Coming Home post-credits scene, it was useless. With more upcoming movies of characters from the Spider-Man universe slated for release soon, Sony must now pull off a good Spider-Man crossover, or public interest cannot be sustained. The studio must establish a connection between these characters and the warrior of the web who forms the main pivot of this universe.
Kraven the Hunter is set to release on January 13, 2023.
