Seven-year-old American girl Adrianna Elaine Hutto resided in Esto, Florida with her mother, Amanda Lewis.
Adrianna’s mother, Amanda Lewis, called 911 on August 8, 2007, saying she discovered her daughter was unresponsive in the family pool.
AJ started explaining to them how he saw his mother putting Adrianna under water while covering her face with her hand.
Adrianna was discovered to have ADHD throughout the exam, and Lewis admitted that while at first she struggled to connect with her daughter, her love for Adrianna grew over time. .
Investigators also found that Adrianna and AJ did not appear to have any toys at home. Lewis replied that the toys had been removed for a week as a form of discipline and were kept in a shed.
Amand Lewis was arrested and charged with the first degree murder of Adrianna in September 2007. She was given the option of accepting a plea deal which would have required a guilty verdict for manslaughter and a ten-year sentence, but she chose to go to trial instead. .
