Australian rules football player Scott Pendlebury competes for Collingwood FC in the Australian Football League.
Pendlebury was born on January 7, 1988 in Sale, in the Gippsland region of Victoria. With Collingwood Football Club, he made his AFL debut in 2006, and two years later, in 2008, he represented Australia in his first international match.
The only AFL player with over 600 eliminations in eight seasons is Scott. More games have been played by Skipper Pies than any other player in Collingwood history.

Australian professional footballer Scott Pendlebury’s brother played for Collingwood VFL in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Scott’s older brother, Kristopher Pendleburry, captained the Collingwood VFL football team after winning the Joseph Memorial Trophy.
He, however, failed to join the Australian Football League. Ryan Pendlebury, the AFL star’s younger brother, has played for three different VFL teams.

Alex is currently 32, according to DailyMail UK. After marrying in 2016, the couple welcomed son Jax, who is now 5, as their first child in 2017. Darcy, who is now 2, was newly added to their family in 2020.

Fun fact: An AFL player started his athletic career playing high school basketball. He then received a full athletic scholarship to enroll at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.
Pendlebury, however, made the decision to quit the U-18 basketball team and follow a different professional path just three weeks after signing up with AIS. In order to play professionally he returned to Victoria and joined Gippsland Power in the TAC Cup.
In 2005, Pendlebury appeared in two games for the U-18 side Vic Country, averaging 17 possessions in each game. He was chosen by Gippsland Power to represent them at the TAC Cup that same year. He had a standout season with Gippsland and Collingwood FC selected him to play in the AFL on the advice of his manager. He has quite a history with the club, dating back to 2006.

The 34-year-old won his first Copeland Trophy in 2011 and finished in the Top 3 13 times in 16 seasons with Collingwood. The Copeland Trophy is awarded to Collingwood FC’s best player of the year. Only Gary Dempsey (15) and Kevin Murray (14) were able to surpass Scott in those accomplishments.
Pendlebury have won the Copeland Trophy five times in their 13 top-three finishes, just one more than former captain Nathan Buckley.
The Collingwood captain has accomplished so much more as an AFL athlete. He made 11 appearances for the 40-man Therabody All-Australian team, which is second only to Lance Franklin’s 12 appearances.
Since 2014, Pendlebury has captained Collingwood FC. The AFL Player’s Association’s Best Captain is another honor awarded to him. Three times in his career, in 2010, 2011 and 2019, the five-time Copeland Trophy winner has won the Anzac Day Medal.
Since 2014, Pendlebury has captained the Collingwood side, which is a club record. Over 9,000 assignments have been recorded by the No.10 during his AFL career. This feat has only been accomplished by Robert Harvey, Brent Harvey and Kevin Bartlett.
