Brad Pitt reflected on his appearance in Ryan Reynolds’ Marvel sequel, Deadpool 2.
Deadpool is known for his irreverent sense of humor and his talent for breaking the fourth wall. Given the character’s self-conscious humor, Ryan Reynolds took the opportunity to make the film and promote it. Given his intelligence, both films poked fun at superhero tropes and even featured surprise cameos. In the case of deadpool 2, a major cameo was with Brad Pitt.
Unquestionably one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Brad Pitt played The Vanisher, one of many characters who joined Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool to form his X-Force. Unfortunately for The Vanisher, he was one of the last major casualties, which in his case was due to his electrocuted death.
While promoting his new movie High-speed train, Brad Pitt pondered filming this cameo for Deadpool 2:
“What was filming like? Pretty much the easiest thing I’ve ever done. [David Leitch is] an old friend of mine and he was…he was my stunt man starting with fight club and until about 2004. And then he left and became a very good director, which is rare. Rare.”
Here is the synopsis of Ryan Reynolds Deadpool 2:
After surviving a near-fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s sexiest bartender while learning to come to terms with his lost sense of taste. Seeking to regain his lifelong spiciness, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, yakuza and a pack of sexually aggressive dogs as he travels the world to discover the importance of family, friendship and flavor – find a new taste for adventure and win the coveted title of world’s best lover coffee mug.
Directed by David Leitch from a screenplay written by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick & Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool 2 stars Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, Julian Dennison, Zazie Beetz, TJ Miller, Brianna Hildebrand and Jack Kesy.
