Who is he? Man arrested for fatal shootings in Ohio

Stephen Marlow: Who is he? Man arrested

The arrest came a day after the bodies of the victims were found at different crime scenes. So far, police have not said much more about the arrest or investigation.

LAWRENCE, KANSAS:

Stephen Marlow, 39, was arrested in Kansas on Friday afternoon. He is believed to have killed four people in Butler Township, Ohio. The bodies of the victims were found more than 600 miles from where Marlow was arrested. The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office told The Sun on Saturday that those who died in the crash were Clyde Knox, 82, his wife Eva Knox, 78, Sarah Anderson, 41, and his 15-year-old daughter Kayla Anderson. The older couple were found somewhere other than where the mother and daughter were. Marlow has shared chilling footage in which he speaks to his family and calls the shootings “executions”. The video circulating on social media has been brought to the attention of the police. They believe the chilling video was shot after the shooting.

Butler Township Police Chief John Porter said gunshots were heard just before noon on Friday. Arrived on the spot, they found the bodies of those who died in the terrible accident. Four people were found with gunshot wounds at different crime scenes. When the police arrived, they were all pronounced dead. The bodies of Eva and Clyde Knox were found in their Hardwick Place home. Porter told a press conference that Sarah Anderson and her daughter Kayla were also found dead soon after. The youngest victim was a 15-year-old high school girl named Kayla. Superintendent Robert O’Leary called it a “ray of light”. He also said students can get help from pastors, youth ministers and therapists if they want.

Marlow was placed on probation for aggravated and threatening burglary after an incident in Dayton in July 2019. As of February, he was no longer on probation. Police say he has been charged with four counts of aggravated murder in Montgomery County. Right after that, the news of this event comes out. The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio issued a federal arrest warrant for Marlow on Saturday. Before that, the FBI says, he was accused of fighting against the law to avoid being caught. But it’s not yet clear whether Marlow will face any further charges at this time. Porter said area officials were planning Marlow’s trip. The Butler Township Police Department is still investigating what happened. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Bureau of Tobacco and Firearms helped them the whole time.

At first, the FBI office in Cincinnati sent out a tweet that read, “The FBI is looking for Stephen A. Marlow because on August 5, 2022 he allegedly shot and killed four people in Butler Township, Ohio. Marlow is believed to have left the area in a white 2007 Ford Edge SUV with Ohio license plate JES9806. Six hours after the first tweet, the FBI sent another that read, “Lawrence, Kansas, police arrested Stephen Marlow because they believe he killed someone. Thank you to the people of Butler Twp for all the help and support they have given to this investigation.
