According to the sources, Brett Goldstein is happy to be a part of the MCU. In an interview, he even said that he wanted it to be a surprise for his mother, because he didn’t tell her that he was in the post-credits of Thor: Love and Thunder.
In the Marvel comics, Hercules is an enemy of Thor, and they also have vicious battle stories.
Asgardians and Olympians hold the same abilities and strength to fight and overpower each other.
But, the character of Hercules, the son of Zeus and Alcmene, can heal his wounds and cannot be killed in the usual way.
In the comics, Hercules started his journey as an enemy of Thor, but eventually they became allies. At one point, Hercules even joined the Avengers for a fight.
Can Brett Goldstein do this amazing character justice?
Marvel’s Hercules is one of Thor’s strongest foes and has the best storylines in comics. But, it’s unclear how Marvel plans to move this character forward in the MCU.
In the comics, the character of Hercules is compared to the character of the Hulk. This is because they are both impetuous and have a larger physique than all the usual mortals and gods.
But, with Brett, Marvel might have compromised on the comic book-accurate look just to make the character look like Thor.
Some fans might be disappointed with Marvel’s choice of Hercules. But we all have to remember that Marvel never throws anyone at random.
Everyone Marvel has hired has contributed immensely to her character.
So, we should all wait to see Brett in action before judging his potential to play the character.
It’s all up to Marvel!
Marvel wasted Gorr’s character, The God Butcher, played by Christian Bale, by giving him very little screen time.
We just hope Marvel gives Brett a fair chance to prove his ability to play Hercules in the MCU.
While Thor is off-world and taking a break from his godly duties, Hercules will be seen as the MCU’s next great god.
We fans are waiting for the great fight between the god of thunder and the god of strength and heroes.
