FUJIAN, CHINA: A resurfaced video from 2019 shows a groom revealing his bride’s affair by featuring an explicit video of her in bed with another man on their wedding day. The video shocked the internet in China and went viral. The bride and groom can be seen walking down the aisle at their wedding reception in Fujian, a province in southeast China.
When they finally reach center stage, the film would be shown for five minutes on a huge projection screen, according to local media. According to stories online, the cheating fiancée was shown the film in front of her family and friends to shame her after her romance with her pregnant sister’s husband was discovered.
The video has gained nearly six million views and thousands of comments since its redesign. “In front of everyone, the groom played a movie of his wife cheating on him with her pregnant husband,” Law says in the caption of the video, “Cheating Bride.”
Netizens are outraged by unverified footage that appears to have been recorded by a wedding guest. While some claim the incident actually happened, others argue the movies were created as part of a video app’s marketing strategy.
The hot topic, which includes three videos, was widely covered by major Chinese-language media, including Taiwan’s ET Today, Hong Kong’s Apple Daily and Sina in mainland China.
The emcee says, “Now we’re going to show you the movies of how the newlyweds grew up,” as the couple can be seen in one of the clips walking down the aisle and then standing on a stage during their wedding reception. However, soon after, the projector starts displaying graphic video. The bride is then heard being accused by the husband as he says, “Do you think I didn’t know that?” on the scene. Next, the bride throws her bouquet to her future husband. Soon after, their friends and family begin to separate them.
The other two clips, totaling five minutes, are said to be porn videos of the bride and her brother-in-law.
Citing insider claims, Apple Daily reports that the couple have been dating for two years and got engaged six months ago. Following the installation of a security camera in their future home during a renovation project, the groom reportedly learned of his fiancée’s affair.
The bride’s sister was six months pregnant, according to the article. According to a well-known Chinese entertainment blogger, the videos originally appeared on the “Eggplant Video” short video app, which is why the episode became known as “eggplant brother-in-law’s door”. “.
The blogger also claimed the bride grew distant from her fiancé following the abuse he suffered at his home. He reportedly promised to pay for an apartment and a car for their union before she agreed to marry him.
The bride would have admitted the affair, according to the blogger. It is claimed that after she began mediating between her and her fiancé during their domestic violence dispute, she and her brother-in-law fell in love.
The bride allegedly ordered her bride to delete all online videos, according to the post.
Mr. Zha, a different gossip reporter, thinks the whole incident was a publicity gimmick. The way the video app acquired the material “exclusively” baffled the author.
Who will post their personal business on a video website? Mr. Zha argued. He added that the brand of the video app could be seen in the tape played during the wedding. Summing it up, he said, “There’s only one possible explanation, and that’s that it’s a bad marketing ploy.”
Videos of the incident are still being shared on Twitter and messaging app WeChat after being removed from Chinese social media site Weibo.
