It’s already the size of a city because it’s the smallest city in all of England. He was linked to director Edgar Wright before production began, whether it was coincidence or not. There he resided throughout his formative years.

Stow-on-the-Wold was an ideal location to shoot the film. However, as they were unable to film there, the majority of the image was shot in Somerset’s Wells, which also happens to be Edgar Wright’s hometown.

Additionally, director Wright wanted St. Cuthbert’s Church to be the main attraction and focal point of the small town he portrays in the film. As a result, the “Hot Fuzz” team was forced to omit the script featuring Wells Cathedral from the film. Additionally, a scene from the film features the Bishop’s Palace in Wells.

Hendon Police College and the Metropolitan Police Specialist Training Center in Gravesend are the filming locations for the film. At the Police College, which includes an athletics track and a driving school skid, they shot several scenes.

The scene in the flower shop was filmed at Mill Hill, and the final seconds of the film were shot in the still-standing ruins of Waverley Abbey. Also, when Simon Pegg and Nick Frost were shooting the film in Somerset while dressed as police officers, many locals thought they were real police officers.

Plus, most of the cast and crew in the movie did the same during filming, as did the hotel that Simon Pegg’s character stays in throughout the story. A real bar in Somerset’s Market Place inspired the tavern depicted in the film.

Story plot and spoilers for Hot Fuzz

Nicholas Angel, a policeman, is the main character of the film. He was promoted to sergeant since he was the best in his division. However, his colleagues plotted to have him transferred to small-town Sandford, as they were jealous of his success.

The district has gained notoriety thanks to its numerous “Village of the Year” awards. The people of Sandford were also slackers, and Angel’s regulated existence stands in stark contrast to their attitude of laziness. Danny Butterman, his partner, had already been imprisoned by Angel for nasty drunken behavior, so he didn’t like him either.

Soon there will be many unusual things happening in the neighborhood. The deaths of many people at Sandford appeared to be the result of accidents. Angel suspects that these cases are related to the many real estate transactions going on in the market. He therefore assumes that Simon Skinner, the store manager, is to blame for these events.

Skinner can still prove his innocence. But afterwards, a member of Skinner’s crew attacked Angel. However, Angel overcomes him and forces him to reveal the true author of the events at Sandford.

The group that carried out the killings in the neighborhood was the Neighborhood Watch Alliance, also known as the NWA. They killed everyone because they thought it would hurt Sandford’s chances of winning “Village of the Year”. Frank Butterman, Danny’s father, was also the head of this mysterious organization active in the neighborhood.

Also, Danny, Angel, and the rest of the police department managed to thwart Frank’s plans. With Skinner, he tried to flee the city. He tried to run away from Angel but was killed in an accident.

Later, an older former NWA member attempts to kill Angel. However, he decides to commit suicide by blowing up the neighborhood police station. Danny was nevertheless able to save Angel from this perilous situation.

After a few months, his superiors asked Angel to return to London. However, he declined this chance and continued his studies at Stanford. After a year, Angel is still working in the same adorable little town, but he’s now the inspector. Danny, meanwhile, was promoted to sergeant.
