It seems co-host Charlamagne’s treatment of women is mostly to blame for the outbursts. On the show, the co-host was repeatedly accused of assaulting black women. The radio personality has already been cleared of charges related to the rape of teenage girls.
Charlamagne Tha God has come under fire for earlier insults directed at female performers Brandy, Monica, Azealia Banks and comedian Mo’Nique. In 2018, the co-host dubbed the comedian “the donkey du jour.” Mo’Nique then alleged that the radio host was part of the “destruction” of the black community.
Former NBA player Kwame Brown also accused Charlamagne of raping a 15-year-old girl and getting away with it. DJ Funkmaster Flex, another radio presenter, also publicly accused Charlamagne of rape.
They struggled to get positive reviews because of the radio show’s developing scandal co-host. It is clear that the series does not have as many admirers as before.
