With rumors suggesting Taron Egerton could star as Wolverine, following Hugh Jackman’s portrayal of the character, a new design concept sees the Kingsman star dressing for the x-men role.
Hugh Jackman first appeared as Wolverine in the 2000s x-menbefore finally bowing out in 2017 Logan. With Marvel Studios now set to reboot the franchise, fans have speculated that Jackman’s Eddie the eagle co-star Taron Egerton could be next in line for claws.
While Taron Egerton said he hasn’t spoken to anyone about playing Wolverine specifically, it’s still early days for the MCU. x-men reboot and Egerton may well be considered for the role later.
With Taron Egerton emerging as a fan favorite for the role of Wolverine, a stunning new concept art shared by the “clements.ink” artist on Instagram shows Egerton in Logan’s classic comic book costume.
Hugh Jackman was never able to don the classic Wolverine costume in his appearances as the character – although a deleted scene from The glutton confirms he’s come close – but it seems likely that’s a look Marvel Studios will want to explore. The MCU has a proven track record of making great live-action comic costumes.

Little is currently known about Marvel x-men to restart. Apart from a brief appearance of Patrick Stewart’s Professor X in an alternate reality during Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessand the revelation that Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan is a mutant in Ms. Marvelthere has been no sign of Marvel’s New Mutants.
As the design above proves, when Marvel Studios decides on its new X-Men lineup, Taron Egerton would be a worthy successor to Hugh Jackman as the savage Wolverine.
