‘You’re going to stay in this skin for a while’: Aaron Taylor-Johnson hints Sony will make multiple Kraven sequels

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is set to make his debut in Sony’s Spider-Man universe as Kraven the Hunter. The actor who recently rocked the big screens with Brad Pitt in the action-comedy High-speed train will lead one of the most iconic characters related to Spider-Man. Although it won’t be the first time, the actor will anchor the role of a Marvel hero as he previously also played Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron. But thanks to the demarcation of the Sony Spider-Man universe and the MCU canon, he will once again be spotted as an iconic Marvel character.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson talks about his future as Sony’s Kraven

In a recent interview, Aaron Taylor-Johnson revealed how much he enjoys playing multiple types of roles in his career instead of staying in his comfort zone. According to the Quicksilver actor, he likes a challenge and always wants to push forward:

“I’m not here to play the same character twice. I, as a person, am naturally changing and evolving. New things inspire me and you grow as a person. So I can only move on and play things I’ve never done before. I like challenges and I like to get out of my comfort zone often.

Following that, the actor was asked how his Kraven persona differs from Quicksilver and other roles he’s played earlier and if it would be fair to claim it as a different matter. To this the actor replied that these types of characters excite him and that he really needs to believe in the character if he is to stay in the skin for a while so according to him there is a lot around this character whose public needs to stay:

“Some people like to go on vacation to the same place every year, but I like to explore different places. So there’s a lot of things that really excited me about the character of Kraven. Sometimes those roles come up and you really have to believe in the character. You’re going to be in that shoes for a while, and you have to believe what you’re saying. So there was a lot of stuff about Kraven that I really liked, and I’m excited to share that at some point .

It didn’t take long for these statements by Aaron Taylor-Johnson to ignite a spark among audiences who began to believe in the film and speculate that Sony might consider expanding the film into a franchise.
