Pick was born to Jewish parents on October 3, 1949. His uncle taught music, while his grandfather ran a music academy. At the age of five, he began his classical music lessons.
After studying music at the Ramat Gan Conservatory and joining local rock bands, Pick’s family immigrated to Israel in 1957. He was a prominent pop singer in Israel in the 1970s and appeared as the title character of the Hebrew musical version of Hair the same year.
Pick started writing music in 1998 and together with Yoav Ginai they created the song Diva. Reunited in 2002, the group composed Light a Candle for Sarit Hadad, Israel’s representative in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002.
