Ten aspiring MUAs from across Britain will be featured in Glow Up season 4 when it premieres on Netflix. Maya Jama, a TV and radio host, will host the show for its debut on August 19. The 28-year-old has starred in numerous productions and built a solid reputation.
Ten MUAs from Britain will take part in the new season of Glow Up in a variety of professional jobs, including TV, theatre, cover and internet commercials. Additionally, two masters of cosmetics and beauty, Val Garland and Dominic Skinner, will judge the competition.

Who shines and who goes? Mind-blowing creations and incredible changes by ambitious artists vying to be Britain’s next make-up star Maya Jama of Glow Up started her career as a teenager.
Maya was only 16 when she started her broadcasting career. She was born and raised in Bristol. She first traveled to London in 2012 to further her career as an actress, model and TV presenter. After a few modeling jobs, she explored the world of television presentation. She started working on a weekly music video countdown for JumpOff.TV when she was just a teenager and later worked for Sky UK on TRACE Sports.
She aired a travel show called Copa 90’s Maya’s Fifa World Cup Cities during the 2014 World Cup. The nine-part World Cup Taxi series, which was tied to the same World Cup series, was also hosted by her. Later that year, she began working for MTV as the host of The Wrap Up.
She later rose to fame after working closely with the Brit Awards, hosting their 2017 Pre-Brit Awards party and performing a Facebook live stream from the red carpet.
She added co-hosting the Saturday night game show Cannonball on ITV with Andrew Flintoff, Frankie Bridge, Radzi Chinyanganya and Ryan Hand to her list of accomplishments in September of that year. Additionally, Jama appeared as a guest panelist on ITV’s Loose Women for two consecutive years, in 2017 and 2018.
One of the highlights of the Glow Up host’s career was when, aged 23, she and fellow presenter Marvin Humes became the youngest to co-host the MOBO Awards on Channel 5.
The Circle and Stand Up to Cancer are two additional series that Maya Jama co-hosted. The host has also participated as a celebrity contestant in programs such as League of Their Own Road, Don’t Hate the Playaz and The Big Fat Quiz of the Year.
Maya’s career peaked in June 2020 when she co-hosted Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer on BBC One with Peter Crouch and Alex Horne. Jama co-presented The Big New Year’s In, a BBC-affiliated New Year’s Eve show.
She made two appearances in February 2021: as a celebrity guest judge on the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race in the UK, and as the host of Simon Cowell’s new music competition game show, Walk The Line .
She also took over Stacey Dooley’s place as the host of Glow Up starting with the third episode.
The fourth season of Glow Up will premiere August 19 at 3 a.m. ET on Netflix.
