Appearance of Spiderman in Madame Web
Madame Web is a character linked to each spider-powered hero. She is also tied to the multiverse and has the power to travel through dimensions. Her character will make her screen debut with Sony’s Madame Web, led by Dakota Johnson with Sydney Sweeney. It will be directed by SJ Clarkson and will most likely be released on October 6, 2023.
Photos of the filming of Madame Web have leaked. They gave us quite a bit of information to speculate on. So let’s dive in.
Spider-Man Appearance Is A Possibility
One of the photos on set shows Spider-Man’s famous hangout – The 4-Star Diner. Peter Parker and his friends used to meet and hang out there during their college days. The dinner was also seen in the 30th issue of Amazing Spider-Man Vol.2.
So far, there have been many fan theories about Spider-Man’s appearance. However, there wasn’t much evidence to support it before. But with this photo, the rumors spread like wildfire and got even stronger.
There has been speculation that this set photo is confirmation of Peter Parker’s appearance in Madame Web even though it’s just a cameo of sorts. We still don’t have any guarantees but we can hope. On the other hand, the 4 Star Diner might just be there as fan service for all Spidey fans out there. The cast could have a meal at Diner as an ode to The Amazing Spider-Man comics.
The Daily Bugle makes its appearance
Another photo from the set shows the infamous Daily Bugle run by none other than J. Jonah Jameson. This brings the film and setting closer to Spider-Man’s life and reality. The Daily Bugle van is seen directly opposite the 4-star restaurant. Turns out the van also has a web address on it – www.thedailybugle.com. It’s not just a random address. There is an actual website that was created for the fans. You can go check it out! It currently features an image of Spider-Man battling the Green Goblin with the Daily Bugle building as a backdrop. However, it’s worth noting that the Daily Bugle logo on the van is not the same one shown in Venom: Let there be Carnage or the Spider-Man movies.
There have also been rumors of other Parker family members being introduced. A young Uncle Ben might make an appearance. We might also see Peter Parker’s mother and a little baby Peter Parker too. Ben Parker might even be the one eating at the 4-Star Diner.
Madame Web
Cassandra Webb, better known as Madame Web, was born blind and suffered from a neurological condition known as myasthenia gravis. Due to this, she also developed powerful psychic abilities. She is also a mutant. The Amazing Spider-Man comic #210 was the first to feature it. Over time, she had interactions with several superheroes such as Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Jessica Jones, and Julia Carpenter who became the second Spider-Man. She was also part of Deadpool Roasts the Marvel Universe. Her powers include telepathy, clairvoyance, astral projection, and her ability to see certain aspects of the future.
The movie will be a female-led spin-off. Besides Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney, it will also include Emma Roberts, Isabela Merced, Celeste O’Connor, Zosia Mamet and Adam Scott.
