Tatiana Maslany As She-Venom could have been an exciting choice. The cast of actors and actresses who play the heroes and villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is remarkable. Even with such a large pool of talent, several well-known actors have been passed over for roles in the hit superhero movie series.
When Tatiana Maslany first appears as She-Hulk in the MCU, fans will have to wait a little longer to see her. The new Disney+ show mixes the superhero and courtroom comedy genres. Maslany nearly joined a different Marvel world but in a much smaller position. A role reversal may have prevented her from becoming She-Hulk.
Tatiana Maslany nearly starred in Sony’s Spider-Man spin-off Venom, starring Tom Hardy, before being cast as the protagonist of the MCU series.
Transition from She-Venom to She-Hulk
During interview on Scott Aukerman’s Comedy Bang Bang podcast, guest star Tatiana Maslany claimed she almost got cast as She-Venom before she was cast as She-Hulk.
Tatiana Maslany took issue with Aukerman when he suggested that Marvel had been trying to implicate him for some time, noting that she was the one who had contact with the studio. Marvel rejected her multiple times.
Aukerman: “You haven’t been in the MCU until now. They tried to get you.
Maslany: “I tried to get them.”
Aukerman: “Really?
Maslany: “They rejected me several times.”
She-Hulk actress Tatiana Maslany was asked about her history with Marvel by Aukerman, who prompted her to divulge the Marvel role she had auditioned for.
Aukerman: “For what? What have you tried?
Maslany: “Venom. Not for Venom, unfortunately. But for Venom’s girlfriend or whatever.
Aukerman: “Venom’s girlfriend?”
Maslany: “(laughs) Yeah.”
Aukerman: “Not even Tom Hardy – Eddie Brock’s girlfriend, just Venom’s girlfriend?”
Maslany: “(laughs) Just Venom’s girlfriend. Just the symbiote’s girlfriend.
Aukerman: “Who was [Venom] trying to date someone? »
Maslany: “She was cut out. (Laughs)”
Everything went well
In the end, Michelle Williams was cast as Eddie Brock’s ex-girlfriend, Anne Weying, in Sony’s Venom films. The actress seems content with her current situation, so everything seems to be working out for her.
Since the Disney+ series includes elements of comedy coupled with parts of action-adventure, Maslany’s impending MCU debut as Jennifer Walters, also known as She-Hulk, allows the actress to use her abilities in many ways. Praise from fans and her She-Hulk co-stars poured in for the actress, proving her move to the MCU was a smart one.
