A new concept design sees The boysHomelander Actor Antony Starr Joins the DC Universe as Reverse-Flash for Ezra Miller the flash.
Antony Starr is known for his role as Homelander, The boys‘ twisted sociopath version of Superman. This new design envisions the actor taking on another twisted version of a Justice League hero as he dresses up as DC’s Eobard Thawne for the DCEU.
Whereas the flash recently the subject of controversy following recent allegations against star Ezra Miller, the DC film appears to be on track for a Warner Bros. release. Discovery and Antony Starr could be a perfect choice for the role of the Reverse-Flash.
A new image shared on Instagram by artist “sub.ozil” shows Antony Starr wearing the iconic yellow interpretation of the Reverse-Flash Flash jumpsuit.

While there’s no word yet on whether the Reverse-Flash is set to appear opposite Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen in the flash, as the character’s greatest enemy, it would make sense for him to show up. And as this concept design demonstrates, Antony Starr could be a perfect fit for the role.
In the DC comics, Eobard Thawne comes from the future and becomes the Reverse-Flash after finding Flash’s old costume. Thawne manages to recreate the freak accident that gave Barry Allen his powers, granting him his own speed abilities.
The Reverse-Flash has already appeared in live action on The CW series the flash, opposite Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen. In the series, Eobard Thawne was played by Matt Letscher and, after taking on the guise of Dr. Harrison Wells, Tom Cavanagh. Whether the character will make it into the DCEU remains to be seen, but Antony Starr would be a strong candidate to play the villain.
Directed by Andy Muschietti from a screenplay written by Birds of prey scribe Christina Hodson, the flash is inspired by Breaking point comic book storyline, which followed Barry Allen as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and drawn by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint dramatically changed the status of the DC Comics Universe and led to the launch of all 52 new titles.
Besides Ezra Miller, the flash also features Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck as two distinct versions of Batman, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Antje Traue as Faora-Ul, and Sasha Calle as Supergirl. Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Rudy Mancuso and Luke Brandon Field are also on board in undisclosed roles.
the flash is currently slated for release on June 23, 2023. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the Ezra Miller film and subscribe to the Heroic Hollywood YouTube channel for more original video content.
