After the broadcast of the first episode of She-Hulk: Lawyer, Moon Knight fans noticed the absence of their favorite vigilante from Marvel’s iconic intro sequence. As for the latest Disney+ show, reviews and general reception from critics have been mostly positive, with Marvel fans thoroughly enjoying the forensic comedy premise and Tatiana Maslany’s dynamic portrayal of Jennifer Walters.

However, no matter how small the details, nothing ever gets past MCU enthusiasts. As people began to point out the lack of Moon Knight in the intro, many were confused by the mixed signals from Marvel, as actor Oscar Isaac was subtly referenced in the latest Disney+ series.

As for Marvel’s new intro sequence, we see many iconic characters, including some of the latest additions to the MCU, such as Ms. Marvel. Some fans also spotted Jane Foster, who was considered the Mighty Thor in the Taika Waititi-led effort, Thor: Love and Thunder. However, much to the chagrin of many Moon Knight fans, the character played by Oscar Isaac was not present. This revelation irritated the most, while some tried to cope with humor. Many jumped lengths and began to speculate if the character had been retconned from the MCU narrative.

While it’s safe to say there’s nothing to worry about as rumors swirl about a possible second season, it’s a pretty intriguing move on Marvel Studios’ part. The only logical explanation seems to be the failure to balance so many characters, old and new, in the classic intro. This makes sense when we consider the breadth of the MCU’s narrative. We envision a franchise with hundreds of superheroes to consider.

Many fans, of course, understand this, as most have been humorous in their complaints. Some, on the other hand, were definitely worried about the character’s future involvement in the overall MCU universe. Others were mostly confused that the show had no problem referencing Oscar Isaac eating Cheetos with chopsticks, but refuse to acknowledge the existence of Moon Knight in the intro.
While the real reason might not have been known, the fan reaction is quite… interesting.

In the midst of such a confusing moment, what should be noted is that the character’s future is unlikely to be in jeopardy, as the series managed to land 8 Emmy nominations, which include: Costumes Fi, Outstanding Cinematography for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, etc.
Both Moon Knight and the first episode of She-Hulk: Lawyer are available to stream on Disney+.
