With the latest addition of the Ms. Marvel finale, two things have become clear to us. Kamala Khan is a mutant, and Kamala Khan’s bracelet has cosmic implications leading us to a path to another character, Captain Marvel.
In the Ms. Marvel finale mid-credit scene, we see a small cameo from Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel character who had mysteriously switched places with Ms. Marvel. Captain Marvel looked bewildered by this and tried to immediately search for an answer to what had happened.
It’s clear that we’ll get some answers about what happened as such and what other Ms. Marvel and Captain Marvel adventures with the universe or even the multiverse involved.
Post-credit scene implications
With the addition of the post-credit scene, we understand The Marvels will take off from this point on with Kamala embroiled in some cosmic issues that Carol Danvers is dealing with.
There is also a high chance of gaining more knowledge about the bracelet, more of its history, or connections to the bracelet around the galaxy, as well as gaining insight into more powers on the bracelet.
What will be the next line for wonders
The film will no doubt begin with Captain Marvel looking for more allies to help her in this situation and adjust the situation accordingly to plan a course of action. The first step will likely be a search and rescue mission for Ms. Marvel.
She will reach out to Monica Rambeau and Nick Fury for help as they are already confirmed to reprise their respective roles in the film. After locating Kamala Khan’s location, Captain Marvel and Monica will go on a rescue mission and learn why this strange phenomenon has occurred.
Rumors regarding the Wonderland plot
Not too long ago we received reports that part of The Marvels would be a musical. This could mean the trio will land on a planet that depends on communicating with music. It would be a very original idea if put into practice, and also the first of its kind in Marvel.
This opens up new possibilities for distinct planets and scenarios. There have also been rumors of re-shoots for The Marvels which are supposed to include Inhumans and Black Bolt. Black Bolt ruling over the realm of the Inhumans has already been teased to us in Multiverse in Madness on Earth 838. Bringing this to Earth 616 brings us one step closer to Team Illuminate. We already get the other members like Namor in Black Panther 2 and Reed Richards in his respective movie, Fantastic Four.
Additional connection to other series
The release of The Marvels seems rather cryptic as it has again been changed to July 28, 2023 from its original date of February 17, 2023. The release dates of Ant-Man 3 and The Marvels have been reversed, this which makes Ant-Man 3 now the first. phase 5 movie.
We also learn that the Secret Invasion The series revolving around Nick Fury and Skrulls will take place in early 2023 after its revivals. It makes more sense to think of it this way, as Marvel’s release date was changed to sync up with the completion of Secret Invasion. Supposedly, The Marvels could also include a Skrull storyline, continuing it where it ends in Secret Invasion.
Ant-Man 3 doesn’t mean much to Nick Fury or the Skrulls, and in no way spoils The Marvels’ story. While Secret Invasion might contain definite implications and plot points for The Marvels, necessitating Secret Invasion watching it sooner than after Marvels.
Marvel has always been meticulous in their planning with their lineup of series and movies that trigger a butterfly effect that follows the next movie and so on. It would make sense to counter the presented delay by pushing back the release dates for an easy viewing experience for audiences and fans.
