The last Thor: Love and Thunder The update created a buzz among fans by revealing Jeff Goldblum’s grandmaster. The Grandmaster was first featured in Thor: Ragnarok who used to enjoy a Gladiator-esque event on the planet Sakaar. Even before the movie was released, there were updates stating that the movie’s runtime had been reduced to keep it from exceeding two hours. Jeff Goldblum’s scene has also fallen victim to these changes. These changes implemented in Thor: Love and Thunder made it a lackluster experience and as a result the film’s ultimate cut received overwhelmingly unfavorable reviews.

Why was Grandmaster kicked out of Thor 4?
Recently, concept art revealed by visual artist Laurent Ben-Mimoun revealed Jeff Goldblum’s scene in the film that ultimately went under the studio’s scissors. Captioning the photo, Ben-Mimoun wrote Moon of Shame.

There are many other scenes from the movie that were subtracted just to save time. Speaking about this deletion, director Taika Waititi revealed that even though some scenes are the funniest, they cannot be saved to maintain the flow of the film:
“When you go into editing, you never know. A scene by itself can be the funniest or the most intriguing thing, but sometimes if you keep them the movie will stop. So you have to do what’s best for the movie.
The Chris Hemsworth star’s deleted scenes affected him to a great extent, as we may have missed some of the major subplots that could have improved the film’s storyline. The film received largely negative reviews from critics and fans due to its lack of depth and overuse of humor.

According to the deleted scene posted by the artist, we can see a scene featuring Grandmaster in some sort of spaceship with Korg’s head.
Also earlier, Gorr actor Christian Bale revealed that he had a scene with Jeff Goldblum in the film. This means that Gorr the Butcher God was at some point about to meet Grandmaster. It could also have led to Thor and company reuniting with the character on their mission to defeat Gorr. But we ended up with nothing more than just a normal scenario.
Thor: Love and Thunder is also a great example of how a movie can fail because of its script even after it has award-winning directors and actors. It will be interesting to see if Grandmaster can ever be spotted again in the MCU and how important this film will be in the vast landscape of this ongoing multiverse saga.
