It is reported that HBO Max spent a colossal sum of $300 million to Dragon House. The series will be the prequel to the fantasy action drama game of thrones which lasted eight seasons before ending. Besides the family complications and some spectacular intrigues, game of thrones is also known for its extravagant sets and mesmerizing visual effects. Dragon House also promises a very grand look and feel with majestic visuals and hence the massive budget comes through quite clearly.

What do we know about The House of the Dragon?
After the conclusion of game of thrones, Dragon House is the last entry in the list of prequels and other entries that are expected to appear in the GoT universe. The series should focus on House Targaryen. And now, especially after the crash landing that happened with GoT’s final season, it will be interesting to see how HBO redeems itself.

The story of this series is based on fire and blood written by George RR Martin in the GoT novel series. This series will also explore Daenerys Targaryen’s story arc and, on this, the co-showrunner said:
“You get an idea of what Daenerys yearned for – all the stories she heard about the greatness of the dynasty, the dozens of princes and princesses, the 17 dragons and the 60 years of peace and prosperity. all about the House of the Dragon era.
The studio also addressed the public that it will get everything out of this show that it expects from a GoT tag-related project.

It is reported that after a manufacturing cost of around $200 million, marketing the show also costs another $100 million. After these updates, the fans are really looking forward to it because they don’t want to be disappointed again after what happened in the last GoT season. According to the marketing manager of HBO Max:
“The House of the Dragon campaign is really about generating big, wide awareness and interest throughout the summer, but also making sure that we signal to existing fans as well as new fans that it’s This is a new Game of Thrones story coming to HBO Max.
So we can expect the series to be a treat to watch and the storyline is good as it is the main business. Even a monumental budget and stunning visuals can’t save a show if the story is disappointing.
House of The Dragon is set to release on August 21, 2022 on HBO and HBO Max.
