Earlier today, the official Twitter account for the upcoming new series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power dropped some exciting news. Accompanied by a short trailer, it was announced that the wait for a new full trailer was coming to an end, as we will see more footage tomorrow. This will be the first full trailer we’ve had since the original’s release at Comic-Con in San Diego last month.
They also announced their plans for the first two episodes to screen in a few select theaters in the United States, and most surprisingly, it will be completely free.
power rings
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past couple of years, you’ll have at least a passing acquaintance with Amazon Prime’s upcoming Tolkien adaptation. Incorporating elements from various short stories Tolkien had written, surrounding and including events around his most famous works The Hobbit and The Lord of the Ringsit’s designed to tell a story that’s never been seen on the big (or small) screen before.
With a cast of mostly new characters, even for those familiar with adaptations of Tolkien’s work, very few of the “big” characters we can expect to see are included. That said, the series, while not directly tied to the two Peter Jackson trilogies, seemingly has the same world semblance, which after seeing the promotional material that has been released so far is easy to accept.

Thousands of years before the aforementioned two trilogies, which take place during the second age of Middle-earth, we will see the consequences of the defeat of Morgoth, the ruler of the better known Sauron. With a second season already greenlit and the creators/showrunners with the first five seasons supposed to be planned, this series has everything it needs to be another huge hit for the streaming giant.
Trailer and free tickets
The trailer is exactly that, a teaser. It doesn’t feature much more than a few interesting battle scenes, a great shot involving two characters in presumably Mount Doom, and an ominous and thrilling backing track that will be amped up the most for what’s to come.

While streaming services have become accustomed to screening their biggest hit series in theaters, it’s new for one to do so entirely for free, as is the case here. Fans will be able to apply for free tickets to the first two episodes of the series, and while limited availability means those tickets will no doubt be purchased fairly quickly, even if you miss them it’s only a few days more. late. we can watch it at home.

Excitement is growing for what could be a very good adaptation of a new story, but with the recent release of Dragon House, one thing is certain…fantasy fans are going to get more than their fill of content over the next few years.
