Top 10 Star Wars Projects
The Star Wars universe has had some pretty spicy announcements lately, especially regarding some series that fans have loved and which have also been very well received. Projects have also been announced with the name of the director, but their names have not yet been revealed.
Without further ado, let’s move on to ranking the 10 most anticipated Star Wars projects out of all the announced projects.
10. New Republic Rangers
Coming in last, we have this series which is going to follow a group of X-Wing pilots, set in the same time frame as The Mandalorian.
According to some reports, this series would connect to other biggies like Ahsoka and result in a massive Star Wars TV universe for an epic crossover, raising fan expectations for the series.
9. The Sidekick
Directed by Leslye Headland, this series is set during the High Republic era of Star Wars and, from the perspective of a Sith which opens up many possibilities for the series.
We can once again visit the Golden Age of the Jedi and watch the rise of the Sith to power and see history from a completely different perspective. The release date has not yet been announced for this.
8. A Droid Story
An animated feature, which was set to premiere on Disney+. The film will supposedly feature a new character guided by R2-D2 and C-3PO.
Development is being handled by Lucasfilm Animations who will partner with Industrial Light and Magic, Lucasfilm’s visual effects team.
7.Lando
There was a standalone series for this character announced which was to be developed by Justin Simien who is a huge Star Wars fan. Knowing this is made by a Star Wars fan, rest assured we’ll be getting a good quality series.
6. Skeleton Crew
We have both Spider-Man director Jon Watts and Spider-Man Homecoming screenwriter Chris Ford working on this series, which follows the fall of the empire from the perspective of four children, ages 11-12. year. We also have Jude Law in an undisclosed role.
It will no doubt be a high-profile project for those involved and will be a treat for fans as they wait for the release date of this project.
5. Star Wars Visions S2
Star Wars visions Season 1 captivated its viewers with its breathtaking visuals and animation, which even received critical acclaim, and returns for a S2 in the summer of 2023.
Only this time Season 2 will be even better after the changes they were planned for the series, inviting more diversity by hiring studios from other countries to overcome the limit of anime it had set for itself.
4. The Bad Season 2
Following the success of The Bad Batch Season 1, this series has been renewed for a Season 2, for 16 one-season episodes, for more fun and action next season. We have several characters reprising their roles, continuing the story after teasing a time jump for the next installment. We also have Emperor Palpatine and Commander Cody at Disney+ on September 28 this year.
3. Ahsoka
Rosario Dawson’s epic on-screen portrayal of the character Ahsoka Tano paved the way for a live-action Ahsoka series with Jon Favreau as showrunner and Dave Filoni as executive producer. Ahsoka had appeared in a few other anime series such as The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. The first live performance of Ahsoka was properly done in Mandalorian S2 itself, which was well received by fans and critics alike.
It was only revealed that it will be released in 2023, no other information is known as of now regarding this series.
2.Andor
Set five years before the events of Rogue One, we have the Rebel Spy Cassian Andor back with Diego Luna reprising his iconic role to portray more of his adventures during the early days of the Rebellion.
This series was designed for a release date of September 21 this year, the season which consists of 12 episodes and, the next episode had already been confirmed in advance by the producers. More spy thriller missions for Cassian Andor and we the fans are ready to take it any day.
1. The Mandalorian Season 3
At the top of the list we have The Mandalorian, following on from the success of its previous seasons, The Mandalorian is making its way into Season 3 while still being good, delivering good action scenes as well as an engaging story in the journey for keep Grogu, one of Yoda’s species safe from any threat and make him a true Jedi.
The Mandalorian doesn’t seem compromised anywhere and shows no flaws despite its convoluted storyline. Mandalorian S3 is supposed to be released in February 2023 on Disney +, rest assured Mandalorian fans, we have already received an announcement of its Season 4 which we will look forward to again, for the epic narration and his portrayal of the character, by Pedro Pascal.
