According The Hollywood Reporter, bat girl crew members and others involved with the film held what were described as “funeral screenings” after learning the DC film would not see a theatrical or streaming release. The report goes on to suggest that Warner Bros. could physically destroy the bat girl footage to prove to the IRS that the film will never be released to receive the tax deduction. However, other sources of THR implied that it wouldn’t, and instead would be locked in with scrapped projects like the unaired game of thrones pilot.
