With how the third season ended, the fourth season of Netflix The Umbrella Academy was always a complete conclusion. Well, not only do we now have confirmation of that fact, but we also know that the upcoming season will also be our last.
Almost as popular as strange things, the news that the end is approaching is not pleasant for the series’ loyal fans. However, in this case, at least the whole story will be told, compared to the slew of Netflix titles that are greenlit only to be canceled after a single season, something Netflix is known for.
The story so far

Starring Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, Robert Sheehan and many more, the series has a huge fan base and has firmly cemented its place in modern pop culture.

The most recent season featured the cast in an alternate timeline, coming to grips with their Sparrow Academy counterparts. In another attempt to fix things, the third season ends with them in another timeline, though this time they no longer have any powers, and their long-dead brother Ben is alive again in this timeline. . Not much else was given, but at least we have a bit more news on that.
Showrunner Steve Blackman explained the potentially controversial final season choice, with Victor and Diego’s untold story being the determining factor.
“I want to ask the viewer and the fan, ‘Would they be happier without their powers?’ I mean, all they do is complain about being who they are,”
“So Victor, Diego will they be happy without it or will they feel like they’re missing an appendage?” Will the world no longer suit them without powers? Can they be “normal”? »
They’re going to play a big role in the final season, but only time will tell if this massive change will be well received by fans.

Earlier today, the show’s official Twitter account posted an update, stating that the obvious fourth season is indeed coming, but it will also be the last.

If the response on Twitter is anything to go by, fans are less than excited to know that their favorite show is coming to an end, but like everything, it has to end at some point.

With the fourth season being the last, it indicates that the creators and showrunners have a complete picture of what they want to do, which means that unlike many previous TV shows, we should have a finale that feels appropriate and complete. , with hopefully no questions or unanswered plot threads.
