After co-hosting the Scott Mills show on BBC Radio 1 for the past ten years, well-known UK radio personality Chris Stark will no longer be on the show.
At the age of 16, Stark started his first job at Radio Northwick Park, a hospital radio station. Before that, he worked at stations such as Galaxy, Real Radio, Virgin Radio and BBC 6 Music where he gained the knowledge and skills needed for the job.
Before starting his first job, he completed his education at Watford Grammar School. At the age of 18, Chris applied to the University of Southampton to study biology and politics. Stark grew up in Pinner, North West London. Stark began working at a hospital radio station, Radio Northwick Park, when he was 16. Stark is known for the feature film 24 Years at the Tap End[6], in which he reads parts of his “autobiography” (a deliberately humorous colloquial mispronunciation of “the autobiography”). He got the idea to write his own autobiography after reading Brendan Sheerin’s autobiography from Coach Trip. The title comes from the moment when he realized on the air, at 24, that he had spent his whole life sitting at the “wrong” end of the bath. On November 11, 2011, the first episode aired. In this episode, Stark told us that his parents had wanted to call him “Padraig” at first. Throughout the series, Stark talks about the significant things that happened to him during his “end-of-tap years”. It’s often about the mistakes he’s made and the lessons he’s learned from his friends’ adventures. The show’s second season ended in 2013, and there are no plans for a third. But in January 2014, Radio One aired a comedy night special.

In March 2013, Stark was sent to a press conference for the movie Oz the Great and the Mighty on just ten minutes’ notice. He was there to interview American actress Mila Kunis for the Scott Mills Show. The interview was unusual because the only question Stark asked Kunis about the film was, “In the nicest way possible, did you like being ugly for once?” This was in reference to Kunis’ character Theodora turning into the Wicked Witch of the West. He then told his friends about his local bar, his football team (Watford FC), Nando’s and drinking games (inviting Kunis to all four). At some point someone came out and told them they had to do the interview. Kunis was quick to answer any questions about the movie that other people had asked him and that Stark would have asked him. Stark then asked Kunis to go to his friend’s wedding. BBC Radio 1 put the video on YouTube, and it quickly went viral. In November 2013, Channel 4 announced that they had commissioned a one-hour documentary special with Stark trying to interview his ultimate list of celebrities, including Derek Acorah, Rachel Stevens, Emma Thompson, Colin Farrell, Ricky Hatton and Verne Troyer.

Stark was a team captain on the E4 show Virtually Famous from 2014 to 2016. In 2015, Stark was a guest on CBBC talk show The Dog Ate My Homework. In December 2016, he was on an episode of Celebrity Mastermind and a Celebrity Edition of Robot Wars.
Stark was a guest on the CBBC Saturday Mash-Up! on a Saturday morning in 2017.
On the Saturday Mash-Up episode, Chris was revealed to be a contestant on the seventh series of BBC children’s game show Get Your Own Back. He lost to Nazia, but host Yasmin surprised Chris by bringing Andy the barber back and hitting him back.
