Return of Batman star Danny DeVito says his version of the Penguin is better than Colin Farrell’s in The Batman.
Earlier this year, Colin Farrell’s version of The Penguin appeared in The Batman. At the end of the film, he remains free, with the implication that he was to take over as boss of Carmine Falcone’s gang. Currently, Colin Farrell is set to appear in an HBO Max series focusing on his character.
Colin Farrell wasn’t the first actor to play The Penguin. The character was also played by Danny DeVito in the 1992 film, Return of Batman. The film’s version of the character isn’t exactly what fans would call accurate, but it was still the first time many fans had experienced the character. DeVito also seems to think his version of the character was better.

During a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Danny DeVito was given a lie detector test and asked a series of questions. When the subject of Colin Farrell’s Penguin came up, he definitely said his version was the best Penguin:
“I love Colin, he’s a great guy. My penguin was better.
