MCU Heroes Who Can Cause Mass Destruction
It’s often happened in the MCU that the heroes end up doing way more damage than the villains. Certain superheroes are definitely more likely to cause destruction and collateral damage, so here are 8 of them.
1.Hulk
In the MCU, Bruce Banner has now successfully put together the brains and brawn to form Smart Hulk. But it wasn’t always like that. At first, Banner had absolutely no control over the Hulk and was completely oblivious when the Hulk was in control. He caused a lot of destruction during Avengers and Avengers Age of Ultron when Wanda manipulated his mind. It makes it very unpredictable and things can swing and go south very quickly. He also has the strength and durability to cause large-scale destruction.
2. Scarlet Witch
Wanda’s powers from the Mind Stone are very unstable. She also has the added power of chaos magic. Moreover, with her psychotic episodes, she is extremely prone to wreak havoc around her. Her powers are ruled by her emotions and grief. This lack of control makes her very dangerous as seen previously in WandaVision and Multiverse of Madness. She literally tore universes apart to get what she wanted. She’s also arguably the most powerful superhero in the MCU.
3. Gray Jeans
Jean Gray harnesses the power of the phoenix and possesses an immense capacity for destruction. Her lack of control over her powers at first made her extremely volatile. This resulted in many deaths around her, including that of Professor X. She also killed her lover, Cyclops. In Marvel comics, there have been timelines where she destroyed planets and even once the entire universe by kissing the Dark Phoenix.
4. Doctor Strange
Stephen Strange isn’t the most responsible hero and definitely makes rash decisions without thinking about the consequences. He practically broke the multiverse trying to cast the identity spell for Peter Parker. In another MCU universe, specifically Earth 383, his actions destroyed an entire reality. In another universe, he threw his world into chaos and corrupted the planet using the Darkhold. Clearly, Dr. Strange possesses the ability to cause massive destruction and is sometimes irresponsible enough to let things spiral out of control.
5. Guardians of the Galaxy
These guys are a motley crew of superheroes who don’t always act very heroically. They are reckless, brash and everywhere. This makes them very likely to leave a lot of collateral damage behind. In the MCU Rocket he once stole anulax batteries and ended up being chased by an entire Sovereign fleet and crashed Quill’s ship into a planet. Drax once provoked Ronan and his army into coming to fight him, which ultimately led to them losing the Power Stone. They have a lot of firepower but also make some really stupid decisions.
6. Black bolt
Black Bolt has a lot of control over his abilities and has lived as a mute for most of his life due to his explosive powers. However, this man can cause damage like no other. He can destroy armies with a whisper and cities with his shouts. In the Marvel comics, he faced off against Galactus and Thanos. His almost sonic energy, that is to say his voice, is a weapon like no other. Despite being in control, his ability to destroy earns him a spot on the list.
7. Magneto
This man is not exactly a hero or a villain. He is primarily an anti-hero as his love for mutants is true and pure. His intentions are debatable, but his tragic backstory and past experiences definitely explain his extreme position. He is obviously capable of wanton destruction as he can control metals and is an omega level mutant. His emotions were often exploited by other villains like Apocalypse in the MCU who used his powers to wreak havoc on the world.
8. Iron Man
While Tony Stark himself isn’t likely to cause too much destruction, he’s on the list for a different reason. The weapons made by Stark Industries, his technology surrounding the arc reactor, and his Iron Man suit are all extremely dangerous when they fall into the wrong hands. Its technology is also advanced enough to cause mass destruction and can be misused.
