In 2019, when the #MeToo movement was strong, several sexist people pointed out that Marvel was adding more female characters to the MCU than it needed. The recent She-Hulk threw shade at these comments in a hilarious way. Misogyny, while still prevalent, has drawn a lot of backlash from the general public.

She-Hulk addresses sexism in final episode
In the last episode of “Kim Wexler got angry” series, Marvel took inspiration from the real world when the entertainment giant got a lot of hate from sexist people who thought the MCU was adding too many female characters.

A compilation of Tweets and videos were made that were apparently against an existing female superhero served up to the public to raise awareness of the misogyny that has spread across the world. The Tweets were also inspired by real life (some were taken verbatim).

Several mainstream outlets have been known to tackle real-life issues like the notoriously gnarly gorefest. The boys. The anti-hero series is known for tackling real-life issues including racism, stereotyping, image power and power intoxication. She-Hulk: Lawyer (2022) also has lead actress Tatiana Maslany battling the world to be the She-Hulk while living her professional life as a lawyer.
The #MeToo movement has been a pioneer movement in the fight against misogyny. The series will no doubt further explore the roots of feminism and more real issues. She-Hulk: Lawyer will release its 4th episode on September 8, 2022 on Disney+.
