Steven Ray tickle is someone with an extremely unconventional source of income. Nicknamed Tickle, Steven Ray is a popular star of the Discovery Docudrama produced by Magilla Entertainment, called “Moonshiners”. If it’s not obvious from the title, the show follows the lives of several people who allegedly made illegal moonshine. The show has come under a lot of criticism for misleading the public about the legality of the brewing that takes place on the show, profiting from the dead and glorifying a lifestyle based on thwarting those responsible for the law. Tickle himself is a bit of an enigma – Steven has been vocal about his political ambitions and prowess in the blue-collar industry, but also has several arrests under his belt, as well as a career as a bugler.

Early life and family
Steven Ray Tickle was born on November 30, 1976 in West Carolina, USA to Larry Craig Tickle and Lois Ileane Keller Tickle. Steven is one of four boys, his brothers being Glenn, Darrel and Mike Tickle. Tickle actually grew up in Dry Fork, Virginia; while his mother was doing her best, Steven’s father was crippled and terminally ill. His father’s eventual death after his continued battle with the disease was a contributing factor to Steven’s drug habits – cocaine and marijuana in particular.
Education
Steven Ray Tickle attended Tunstall High School in Dry Fork, then trained as a carpenter – it is unclear who originally introduced him to moonshining.
Career
Carpentry Worker
Unlike his current, rather radical job, Steven Ray Tickle was registered as a union carpenter. He spent two years in Washington building Clyde’s Restaurant and is believed to be highly skilled, however, it is unclear whether he is still pursuing this career path or has given up on this business.
Political career
Tickle had a rather interesting, if short-lived, political career. Relying on his work as a carpenter to lend him a certain authenticity and gravity, Tickle expressed his desire to run for president as an independent in 2012. Needless to say, it was not to be, but this was not the end of his political ambitions either.
In 2013, Tickle again took to the media to announce that he intended to run for convention. He took advantage of the media attention he received for it to vent his feelings on the news, going so far as to state in an October 2013 interview that Obamacare was “shit”. He explained that he believes all Americans should have access to health care, but the same health care should be mandatory for federal public servants.
Discovery Channel
Tickle can be considered a celebrity on the Discovery Channel platform, having appeared in at least five different series. The first show he appeared in was “Moonshiners”, which premiered on December 6, 2011.
The show glamorizes and dramatizes the lives of various people in Appalachia who make a living by brewing moonlight. While the Discovery Channel likes to portray this as illegal activity, Virginia law enforcement has revealed to the public that there is nothing illegal about the activities depicted on the show. Discovery Channel has chosen to ignore this revelation and continues to fool thousands of people with the lure of the thrill of illegality. The show also received backlash when it was discovered that portions of the show featuring moonshiner Marvin ‘Popcorn’ Sutton were actually derived from footage taken even before the show premiered. It was considered even more heinous when the public found out that Sutton had taken his own life in 2009.
Steven was a popular figure on “Moonshiners”, so much so that the producers approached him to create a spin-off that would focus solely on him, called “Tickle”; it premiered in 2013 but only lasted 11 episodes, never returning for a second season. Since then, Tickle has continued to appear on “Moonshiners” as well as other spin-offs, such as “Moonshiners: Shiners on Shine” (2017 – 2018), “Moonshiners: Whiskey Business” (2019), and as as judge and contestant on “Master Distiller” in 2020.
Private life
tickle and the law
While Steven Ray Tickle was able to hide much of his life from the public, some things just couldn’t be kept a secret.
Tickle has a criminal record stemming from two arrests – his first came after he was discovered in a convenience store parking lot, alone in his car, drinking in 2015, and was arrested for public intoxication. It didn’t lead to much drama and he was quietly released later that day.
His second arrest attracted much more media attention and eventually led to a prison sentence. On February 1, 2016, Tickle was arrested for possession of an illegal firearm in the form of a sawed-off shotgun; the weapon was spotted in the backseat of his car during a routine traffic check. Although he was never seen using the gun or threatening to do so, under Virginia law possession was a sufficient offense and earned him a three-year suspended prison sentence.

Everything would have progressed calmly if he had not been arrested for violating his probation on September 15 of the same year, a violation for which he served five months. He broke the law again in 2017, when he was in a car accident while driving with a suspended license. This second strike during his probation saw him assigned to serve the remainder of his sentence, an additional 18 months in prison.
Family
Steven Ray Tickle’s first wife remains anonymous, but he still enjoys a loving and caring relationship with his daughter Daisy Tickle, born in 2000. By all accounts, he is a good father who takes care of her needs to the best of his ability. capacities.
Over the years, Tickle has posted relationships on Twitter. He spent time with an unspecified Jaci, whom his mother warmly approved of, and later with another woman named Jenny Jen.
After his release from prison in 2019, Tickle finally married a woman who was meant to pursue his affections for six years — Carol Ann Meredith, a surety on bail, which was kind of ironic given Steven’s recent activities. Nonetheless, the two tied the knot on October 19, 2019 in a Moonshine-themed wedding and are happily married as far as the public is concerned.
Appearance
Now approaching his forties, Tickle’s features show little of his life experience.
He has pale brown hair that is starting to turn gray and maintains a mustache, and his eyes are pale blue. He is 1.72 m (5 ft 7 in) tall and weighs about 70 kg (152 lb). Due to his near-celebrity status, Tickle’s photo didn’t escape the press and can easily be located. It’s unfortunate for him, as he’s clearly drunk in the footage.
Net Worth and Salary
Unsurprisingly, moonshining isn’t the most profitable of businesses, and Tickle relies heavily on his per-episode paycheck from the Discovery Channel. It is not known if he still works as a carpenter and therefore it is impossible to draw any conclusions about this potential income area. Tickle has a net worth of around $300,000 as of mid-2020, which is a common figure among Discovery Channel stars.
