Snow White is finally getting a live-action adaptation after all these years. Upcoming live action White as snow will have Rachel Zegler from Western coast Story play the main character of the film. It will be a remake of the 1937 film, originally based on a fairy tale by German folk authors Wilhelm Grimm and Jacob Grimm.
A live-action adaptation of the film is one every Disney-loving little kid would love to see, but major fans pretty much discredited the remake for casting a non-white actress as Snow White. Even Zegler’s rationale for the race swap proved unsuccessful in convincing fans to hail the upcoming remake.

Fans Are Not Modern Age Snow White Fans
White as snow, directed by Marc Webb with a screenplay by the notable Greta Gerwig, made its first appearance on Friday with a short teaser at the D23 Expo to much applause from the audience.
Rachel Zegler will star in the film as the title character, as will Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, with Andrew Burnap being introduced as a new character for the film.

After presenting the teaser, a tearful Zegler took to the front of the stage to talk about her character-
“It’s such an honor to bring the first animated feature to life. Snow White is the girl you remember. She’s definitely made for the modern age. There’s such a focus on what it means really about being the most righteous of all. And for Snow White, it’s about finding herself, finding her inner voice, and finding a sense of agency so she can be a righteous ruler and queen wonderful.
Despite his emotional depiction of what Snow White can look like, fans of the popular Disney character weren’t on the same page as Zegler. Most of them are pretty much against Snow White’s race swap with Zegler, who is a real-life Latina. Here’s Twitter going crazy about it-

Snow White should be played by a white woman.

In all honesty, it seems like Disney is stretching a bit too far with the race swap, which was unnecessary. But we can’t just judge a movie by a character’s skin color, so let’s give Zegler a shot.

Gal Gadot is grateful to play the Evil Queen
The brilliant performances of Gal Gadot as wonder woman in DC movies have earned him a starring spot in the upcoming new live-action White as snow film.
The Israeli actress will slip into the shoes of the Evil Queen Grimhilde, which is an interesting choice because the majority of the characters she plays are protagonists.
As excited as we are to see Gadot in the new film, we also think she truly deserves the role, and she herself is very grateful to have the opportunity to play the character in the upcoming film.

Gadot explained how different the role is for her compared to anything she’s ever done while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at Expo D23-
“It was amazing. It was an amazing experience. First of all, I’m grateful to have the opportunity to play the first iconic villain of all time. And to tell his story and put myself in his shoes. , I’m honored to do it. And it was great.
“She’s so different from anything I’ve played before. And it was great to explore all those differences, to sing and dance. It was just delicious. And I enjoyed every moment of it.
The 37-year-old is an amazing actress, and as we can see, she’s also very humble about her job and always looking to try new things in her career. We can’t wait to see how menacing she will be in White as snow.
