Harley Quinn will return to the DCEU after her last appearance in The Suicide Squadrevealed director James Gunn.
James Gunn, who directed DC’s The Suicide Squad and Peacemakeras well as Marvel guardians of the galaxy movies, has gained quite a reputation for his direct replies on Twitter. Her final response to a fan’s question unequivocally confirmed that Harley Quinn is returning to the DCEU.
Margot Robbie has played Harley Quinn throughout the character’s DCEU appearances so far and it seems likely she’ll be teaming up with James Gunn again on an upcoming project.
James Gunn took to Twitter to pay tribute to the creators of Harley Quinn on the anniversary of her first appearance in Batman: The Animated Seriesbefore revealing that the character will return to the DCEU.
When a fan asked if Harley would be back in the DCEU, James Gunn simply replied, “Yes.” An alternate version of the character is set to appear, played by Lady Gaga, in the upcoming Joker after, Joker: Madness for two. However, it looks like Margot Robbie’s version will also make another appearance.

If James Gunn is aware of Harley Quinn’s upcoming return to the DCEU, it’s likely she’ll appear in one of his upcoming DC productions. Gunn is currently working on season 2 of the suicide squad spin-off series Peacemakeras well as several as yet untitled DC projects.
