Rise to fame after his role in HBO game of thrones, Kit Harington has signed on to star in a superhero production, just like his castmates. He played Dane Whitman in the Eternals alongside Richard Madden as Ikaris and Angelina Jolie as Thena.

Despite his fame, the actor didn’t get much screen time in the film, being only the love interest of Gemma Chan’s Sersi. However, at the end of the film, the actor was seen in possession of a sword called the Ebony Blade.
Kit Harington as a Dark Knight?
Before Dane Whitman could pick up the sword, he was interrupted by the vocal cameo of Mahershala Ali’s Blade. Hopefully this sets up Dane Whitman’s return to the MCU in the Blade movie, but what about the sword?

The wielder of the ebony blade receives the powers of the dark knight. Although shrouded in mystery, we do know that the Eternals were aware of the sword’s presence, and it will likely play a bigger role in future MCU projects.

Despite the interesting setup, MCU hasn’t announced any upcoming standalone movies for the character or confirmed his presence in another Marvel production, which has left many fans confused.
You don’t know anything, Kit Harington?
Marvel is known for having a tight lid on plot and cameos in their production, and Kit Harington’s role of Dane Whitman seems the same. In an interview with Josh Horowitz, the actor said he didn’t know what direction Marvel would take with his character. He said:
“I don’t know much about what they’re planning…I hope to be involved in some future stuff, with this character, with Dane Whitman, and that he could continue and be the thing that everyone quotes me in the street. ”

The actor further claimed that Marvel didn’t tell him much about what they were planning. He thinks it’s a good thing because actors tend to “spill the beans” in interviews like this. Even though the actor is aware of his character’s future, he does a good job of hiding it.
