Piotr Sierzputowski is a former coach of tennis player Iga Swiatek. Since 2016, he has collaborated with Iga Swiatek. In recognition of his efforts, Sierzputowski also received the 2020 Coach of the Year award.
He started coaching his sister Alicja at the age of 13, but two years later the club hired him as a coach due to his outstanding performance.
He developed his coaching abilities at the Johan Kriek tennis academy in the United States, and upon his return to Poland, Legia Warsaw hired him as a tennis coach. In addition, he continued his studies at Kozminski University, the University of Warsaw and the University of Gdansk.
Piotr Sierzputowski was recognized by the WTA organization as the best coach of the year in 2020, the year his protege won the French Open, for his contribution to the growth of the tournament.
Iga Witek, who was in his care, won the 2018 Wimbledon championship, his biggest junior achievement. She then began to compete in senior tournaments at the professional level and showed signs of improvement in 2019; as a result, his trainer became better known in the community.
